Art Lounge Volunteers (Summer 2018)
Artspace is seeking volunteers to become a part of our Art Lounge crew. The position calls for those interested in being a part of a team that will bring our Art Lounge to life while an artist works on their drayway installation on four separate Friday evenings. Our goal is to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the public to come, have a drink, and watch the installation.
We are looking for people who can volunteer their time for any shift(s) during any of the four Art Lounges that run Fridays from 4pm-10pm on June 1st, June 29th, July 27th and September 7th. These Fridays are comprised of two shifts that run from 4pm-7pm and 7pm-10pm.
We are looking for volunteers for any of the three positions:
Bartenders (Serving it Safe required) — You will serve alcoholic beverages to the public within the art lounge. This role also requires you to handle cash.
Rovers/Ambassadors – For this position, a number of tasks may be required including: bar backing, helping with the door, garbage pick up, and any other tasks that may arise.
Door people – This position requires you to watch the entranceway at one end of the tunnel and to ID people as they enter.
Interested people are encouraged to send an email to Artspace at [email protected]
Since the dates are across the summer, volunteers will be chosen throughout the season.
In the email, include your name, contact info, past volunteer experience, availability and the position you are applying for.
Also, this project is possible thanks to the generous support from the Johnston Group, HTFC Planning, Farmery, AUX:Projects. Scatliff + Murray, Barkman Concrete and the Exchange BIz.
Thank you for taking your time to consider this opportunity.
