On the summer solstice the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and we enjoy the longest day of the year. Also known as «midsummer,» it is the time of year when most of the crops have been planted and growing season is well underway.
Our 108 Sun Salutations practice, led by Shivaun Berg, celebrates the first day of summer and our connection to the cycles of nature during this time of growth and fertility.
The 108 Sun Salutations practice is suitable for all levels and, though challenging, it can also be calming and restorative. It's not about perfect form or maximum effort, but about moving efficiently and smoothly with the breath. Child's pose (balasana) is always an option. Allow 90 minutes.
All donations to Villa Rosa Inc. $10 minimum donation. Free to members but any donation you can share is gratefully accepted.
