The Steampunked 12th Night will be held on January 14th, 2018.

Please join us at the Crescent Fort Rouge Church for an evening of Festive fun.

This is a family event so please feel welcome to bring your kidlets. Costumes are encouraged, but not imposed.

Let us come together in the warmth of the Season's Holiday Spirit and enjoy an evening of friendship and community.

You do not have to be a member of The Society for the Ethical Treatment of Kraken, you just have to have the spirit of a Steampunk to join our revelry.

Please be aware we are asking for a $12 to $15 donation at the door to cover the cost of the feast and the venue.

We thank-you in advance for your generosity, all funds raised at this event will be used towards the Steampunked 12th Night or the Tea.

Guests do not have to participate in the Card and gift exchange if they do not wish to.

Only those members that comment or pm their interest in these activities will be included in these exchanges. A formal list of the participants will be posted on the event page.

We encourage you to create authentic Victorian Christmas/Yule cards to give away in our Holiday Card Exchange.

You can look at the list of names of the attending guests who are also participating. Feel free to give as many or as few cards as you like.

When you enter the feast at 6:00pm you will pass a small mailbox. Please slip your cards in the mailbox before you take a seat at the feast table.

Make sure you write the names of the recipients of your cards clearly on the outside of them so our volunteers can hand them out to the recipients sitting at the feast table.

We will deliver the cards to the appropriate recipients during the feast.

Please comment on the post we will provide about the card exchange so that everyone can see who is interested in giving and receiving a card.

Before the feast date we will post the list of interested members for the card exchange so that they can see who wishes to participate.

There will be a tree that we encourage our guests to contribute an ornament that they made themselves.

We will post tutorials on how to make the Holiday Cards and ornaments. The Society will provide gingerbread ornaments and other Victorian themed pretties.

Each year we will keep adding ornaments to the tree until it is bursting. We recommend, if you donate an ornament, that you put your name and the date on the back so that we can look back fondly on the years of friendship and fun.

There will be a delicious buffet style feast provided by the Society for the Ethical Treatment of Kraken served between 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The King's Cake and the crowning of the Regent of the Feast will occur at 7:30pm.

At 7:30pm Michael Cutler will lead us in a Sing-a-Long and perhaps perform a Pantomime for our guests. We will alter the regular words of some well known Christmas Carols to better represent the fact that we are friends of the Great Kraken.

A Secret Cthulhu gift exchange, meaning we encourage our guests to find the most chaotic choices for gifts.

The gift exchange will occur after the Sing-a-Long a little after 8:00pm. Please post your name on the announcement post concerning the gift exchange so that everyone will know who wishes to participate. We will team you up with your chaos partner.

From 8:30pm to 10:00pm, when the evening ends, we encourage our guests to bring games they wish to play with others.

We will also play Pass the Chaos. Children who attend the 12th Night will be allowed to find a cornucopia on the tree that holds treats for them to take home.

There will also be gilded acorns for our guests to pluck off the tree at the end of the night that will hold a small fortune/blessing for them to carry into the New Year.

At 10:00pm we will wish everyone the warmest and best wishes for the New Year.

We hope to see many Steampunks, please come and join us.
