A Canadian saxophonist, a Syrian keyboardist, and a group of students from around the world come together to bring you a blend of sound from Syria and North America.
This definitively diverse group of musicians unite on The Park Theatre stage to celebrate compassion, love, peace and what it means to be human.
The Bridge Program was conceived as a means of providing music instruction to children who would otherwise have no access to such opportunities. Keyboardist Mohamad Holilo arrived in Canada from his native Syria in March 2017, a refugee from his war-torn homeland. For Holilo the chance to perform and share some of his favourite songs from his homeland is a gift and he approaches the Nu-Sounds concert with an enthusiasm that is infectious. You're likely not going to see another show like this any time soon.
