'Tis the season to be silly and Juno Award winner Al Simmons has more silliness up his sleeve than Santa has toys.
He’s all spruced up and ready to take us on a sleigh ride to a timeless place where seasonal shenanigans and musical mayhem reign – and snow!
Childlike, yet sophisticated, Al’s holiday hi-jinks are guaranteed to delight and amaze one and all.
We asked Al if he could bring some of his favourite inventions and he has agreed! So, we're setting up the Al Simmons Inventions Petting Zoo in our Assiniboine Credit Union hall, just off our lobby. Kids big and small will have a chance to view and operate these fantastical machines created from Al's one-of-a-kind imagination.
For this very special show, Al has invited his good friend and piano player Michael McKay to join him, and I'm sure as someone always says, «you can't have a party without a sousaphone player,» so Al is bringing one of those too. The Dirty Catfish Brass Bands very own Steve Oberheu will be putting the oomp in the oomp-pah-pah
