About Tom Jackson’s Christmas 150
Actor, singer, and lifetime philanthropist Tom Jackson celebrates 30 years of cross-Canada fundraising with a new program – Tom Jackson’s Christmas 150.
Tom describes it as a collection of stories and songs personally gathered over a half century of travel from sea to sea to sea. A journey of all things Canadian, and all things Christmas, this series of “firsts” and “favourites” and “rituals” are captured in a blend of theatre, tossed with a dash of humour and complemented by video design. With Tom’s usual flair around Christmas music and masterful storytelling, expect the historical (The Huron Carole) and the new (an angel who sang a baby to sleep 2017 years ago).
The tour begins November 30 in Alberta and winds its way through BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and hops over to Newfoundland. Proudly marking 20 years of support, Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life returns as its National Sponsor. Beneficiaries of the shows are food banks, agencies serving the needs of the homeless, addicted, and marginalized as well as the Canadian Red Cross.
As diverse as the country, shows are stylized for galas, concerts with receptions, corporate and private gatherings and even emergency shelters. Tour schedule and ticketing information posted and updated regularly. Celebrate all things Canada – 150 years strong – with stories still unfolding!
Tom Jackson, founder of The Huron Carole Benefit Concert Series, is a musician, beloved TV personality (North of 60, Star Trek, Law and Order), and long-time champion for the marginalized. Having experienced life on the streets himself, he discovered music was a way to help others.
Tom Jackson’s Christmas 150 is a project of the Christmas & Winter Relief Association whose mandate is to support organizations doing hands-on work with the homeless and hungry in Canada.
