We are excited to have Robin Golt returning to Yoga at St. Mark's this fall for a specialty workshop series for yoga teachers and teachers in training
Robin (ERYT-500) has been exploring yoga as a path of learning and transformation for 30 years, and teaching since 1992.
Her teaching reflects an understanding of and appreciation for the traditional roots of yoga, and for the need to make these teachings work for the contemporary, western practitioner and seeker.
Known for her skill as an asana teacher, she awakens students to new levels of understanding in the physical (and subtle) body. Robin also possesses a unique ability to bring the wisdom and philosophical teachings of yoga to life.

As a teacher and practitioner, you know that there are some essential postures that we and our students never really graduate from. From warriors, to dogs, to cobras and bridges, virtually all asana practitioners, from the raw beginner to the super-experienced, regularly practice certain key poses for, well, ever!
As teachers, how do we educate and encourage our new students, without creating overwhelm?
And, when it comes to more advanced-level classes, what can we do and say to continue to challenge our students and help keep their practice fresh and alive?
These will be the main questions of the day…
We will choose a few select poses to work with in both the am & pm sessions. Expect theory, practical tips, opportunity to try things out with one another, and Q & A.
Dialling it Down for Beginners (11:00am-1:30pm):
A step-by-step approach to fundamental postures, modifications, use of props, & adapting our expectations to the reality of who is in our classroom.
Amping it up for the Experienced Students (2:00-4:00pm):
Discover intelligent ways to inspire new awareness in your experienced students by exploring the subtleties & energetics of the same poses we looked at in the morning.
