We are excited to offer an approachable, yet in-depth creative portraiture class, taught by FH&A team members Ally Gonzalo & Mary Vallarta on May 23rd at our studio at The Forks.
This class will give you the tools to take your portraiture in whatever direction your creative self desires. It is meant to inspire and help you define or refine your personal style, not just teach you the “right” way to photograph a person.
You will learn how to read different kinds of light and use it in new and interesting ways, as well as the ins and outs of your equipment, and how to interact with and direct subjects.
This workshop will be limited to 10 people. $15 gets you a spot. All skill levels are encouraged, but a DSLR or SLR is required for this class.
Our venue is accessible and a gender neutral washroom is just down the hall.
Mary is a photographer and illustrator living in Winnipeg. She is a FH&A team member and a talented and friendly person. See some of her work below.
Ally recently graduated from photography school and specializes in portraits that push boundaries. He is a fantastic teacher and loves to share his knowledge. We are lucky to have him on the FH&A team. See his work below. (The event photo is also his.)
