The Y-Not? Inner City Karate Dojo is excited to host Sensei Scott Middleton (6th Dan — WTKO) on May 27 and 28, 2017 at the University of Winnipeg Axworthy Health and RecPlex (2nd Floor Gym).

Sensei Scott Middleton has been training in Shotokan Karate for over 30 years, and has been teaching at his dojo the Traditional Karate of Brandon, since 1992. Sensei Middleton is the WTKO General Secretary and member of the WTKO Executive Committee. He is an Certified Instructor Graduate of the WTKO Kenshusei Program and holds the qualifications of Class A Instructor, Class A Examiner, and Class A Judge.

Sensei Middleton is quickly becoming a highly sought after Shotokan instructor in North America and Europe, being invited to teach at various seminars and camps around the world.

Following the seminar will be a Kata Tournament, which will be available for all levels white belt and up. The precise number of categories will depend on the level of interest from the students.

Brown and Black Belts: $30

Kyu Belts: $20

Tournament: Included with seminar fee.

*** Schedule of events ***

May 27:

Brown and Black Belts: 9:00am — 10:30am

White to Purple Belts: 10:30am – 12:00pm

All Levels: 1:00pm-2:00pm

May 28:

Brown and Black Belts: 10:00am – 12:00pm

All Levels: 1:00pm — 2:00pm.

Kata Tournament: 2:30pm – 5:00pm

*Exact times may vary for tournament events, based on the number of registered competitiors.

* If there is additonal time left over, students may approach senior students and instructors to ask questions regarding certain kata, tounrmanet rules, judging, or karate in general.
