Tune Ups are CKUW's Advanced Training Series, intended to provide CKUW programmers and our media community with opportunities to develop new skills and come together to hang out!
This month's Tune Up? Sharpening your Show Identity!
Can you say in 35 words or less what your radio show is?
A sharp program mission statement is a helpful tool for any producer or host. In this hands-on workshop you'll hone your show identity. You'll get to:
-Listen critically to (and get inspired by) samples of successful radio shows and podcasts
-Analyze strong program mission statements and identify elements of an effective mission statement
-Review, revise and critique your program mission statement
-Discuss and discover concrete ways to use your mission statement as a tool to help make — and communicate — programming decisions to your team, and audience
Tune Ups are free to CKUW members, Stylus contributors, UW Students and Uniter contributors. Sliding scale suggested donation for community members at large.
