Kids sure do grow fast! The idea is simple — that we all have enough to go around...the more we share, the more we have! Passing on perfectly good items to other families, reducing our carbon footprint, finding items our families need for the coming season, and giving to many wonderful charities makes us all feel good!
*** HOW IT WORKS ***
Just bring in what your family no longer uses or has grown out of, clean and organized. You get a swap ticket for your items, and then at noon, join in with all the excited families to take away what your family needs for the coming season! This event is FREE for all participants — donations to cover costs are gratefully accepted ($2, $5, $10… whatever you can afford).

Items must be CLEAN, FRESHLY LAUNDERED, in good working order. (See guidelines below for how to sort your items)
Clothing pre-sorted by size and item, no holes or stains, no broken buttons or zippers. Toys must be pre-sorted by item (eg: cars, action figures, puzzles, games, books, movies, dolls, etc)
The first 100 people dropping off AFTER 9AM (doors will not open until 9am) will be in lineup number 1, going in to swap at 12 sharp. So in exchange for your items dropped off, you will get a ticket 1. The next 100 people will get a ticket number 2, and will be in the second line up to get in. The next to arrive to drop off their swap items will get a ticket number 3, and so on. We will be letting everyone in at a relaxed pace, ensuring enough space — there is PLENTY to go around. So if you want in the first or second line up, drop off before 10am!!! The lineups will start at 11:45am, starting with lineup number 1. (There will be announcements).

DON'T FORGET YOUR TICKET! The line up starts at 11:45am. Then and at 12pm sharp, show your ticket to join many excited local parents as you take away the items that your family needs for the coming season! Your ticket will be collected by a volunteer on your way out.
ALL of the leftovers are donated to local charities
*******GUIDELINES for the Swap — MUST READ********
~ Bring clean, freshly laundered clothes/items
~ Please pre-sort by size and item so that it can be organized quickly for the swap.(Clothing sizes sorted from: birth-6mo, 6-12, 12-18, 18-24, 2, 3, 4/5, 6-8, 9/10 & 12+ years)
~ We are requesting that people try and group like clothing items together in their bags/boxes.
The categories are as follows: Dresses/skirts, Bottoms (tights/shorts/capris/pants), 2pc sets (elastic bands work great for keeping these items together), PJs/sleepers/onesies, and Tops. Please label socks in a bag with approximate size.
~Sort your toys by item category (eg: dolls, action figures/figurines, books, movies, puzzles, etc, should all be presented in a separated, organized fashion)
*NOTE: WE WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING STUFFIES OR McDONALDS HAPPY MEAL TOYS!*
~ Make sure everything is in a condition that you would want to receive it in — excellent condition only!!!
~Anything for babies, children (all ages) and maternity is accepted, and preferably that goes with the coming season – clothes, shoes, books, movies, toys, baby needs/ equipment/accessories, etc.
~ NO RESELLERS! Please take only what you need for your family. Honour system prevails — there are no solid rules about how much you drop or take. Be cool. Keep in mind, there will be future swaps! (Every Spring and Fall)
**If you are a first-time parent expecting your first child, come anyway and take away some maternity and baby needs for the birth — 6 months stage! Just show up sometime between 9 & 11am and get your ticket — keep in mind that the first people to get tickets will also be the first people let back in at noon. Pay it forward by attending future swaps!
~ To precaution against the spread of bedbugs, bag all your items, place them in your trunk on the way home, and put them in the dryer for a half hour before using them!
~Be Green! BYOB – Bring Your Own Bags!
~Children are welcome but you will be responsible for them! No childcare provided!
~Spread the word! Invite all families that you know and ask them to pass it on!
~ NO STROLLERS ALLOWED. Please leave strollers at home or parked outside. Baby wearing encouraged :)

ADMISSION IS STILL FREE!!! There is a suggested donation of $5/family or whatever you can afford. This money goes to feeding our hard working, hungry volunteers and pays to rent the space for our events. Thanks in advance for any donations received :)
