Please join me and many others at the Forks Market on Saturday, February 4, at 12:00 noon, as we walk in solidarity to show our support for diversity, inclusion, and human rights.
Winnipeg today is a growing, diverse city. Our compassion, diversity, and acceptance of new people and cultures are what make us strong. Now, more than ever, is a time for compassion. It is a time for us to embrace our values of openness, acceptance, and diversity, and it is a time to ensure fear does not triumph over hope and humanity.
As we've done for hundreds of years, let's gather where two rivers meet. Let's walk together in solidarity on Saturday to show our support for human rights, diversity, and inclusion. And let's demonstrate the strength Winnipeg has in its diversity!
We'll be starting at The Forks, meeting at the plaza by the Johnson terminal/canopy area. We will then walk around the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and finish back at the Forks.
I hope to see you there!
